⚖️ Terms and privacy
The rules of THE ONE FAN in plain language: who can take part, how we look after minors, how points work, the charity cause and payments.
This is a courtesy translation of the Spanish original. If there is any difference, the Spanish version prevails.

- MODERATIONFor minorsEvery profile of a 13 to 17-year-old is reviewed before it's published
1. Who we are and acceptance
THE ONE FAN, available at theonefan.com (“the Platform”), is operated by DIGITAL MADNESS, RUC 10473232672, domiciled at Arnaldo Márquez 1964, Jesús María, Lima, Peru (“we”).
By creating an account or using the Platform, you accept these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy and the Charity Cause Rules. If you don't agree, don't use the Platform.
We may change these terms. We will let you know by email and on the Platform at least 15 days in advance. If you keep using the Platform after that date, you accept the changes.
Non-affiliation notice. The Platform is an independent project created by and for fans. It is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or approved by BTS, HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC or any other agency, artist or rights holder. The names of artists and fandoms are used only to identify fan communities.
2. Minimum age and parental consent
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform.
If you are between 13 and 17, you need the authorization of your parent or legal guardian. Your profile will not be published until the adult grants it.
The adult authorizes the publication of the profile and photos and, where payments exist, sets a monthly spending limit. They can revoke the authorization at any time from the link they receive by email; if they do, the profile stops being visible.
If we detect that a user gave a false date of birth, we may suspend their account and delete their content.
3. Account, content and moderation
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your access secure. Each person may have only one account per fandom.
Your content (avatar, alias, letter and photos) remains yours. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform and its social media while your profile is active.
You declare that you have the right to publish the photos you upload and that the people in them agree.
Profiles of people over 18 are published when created; those of minors aged 13 to 17 require the authorization of their parent or guardian and a review before publication. We may reject, hide or remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms, stating the reason.
We recommend that you don't publish personal details such as your full name, address, school, phone number or location.
4. Prohibited conduct and suspension
The following is not allowed:
- Publishing sexual, violent, discriminatory or hateful content, or content that harasses others.
- Publishing photos, logos or official material of artists or agencies.
- Impersonating another person, an artist or the Platform.
- Creating fake or multiple accounts, using bots, or manipulating visits, invitations or points.
- Offering, selling or buying accounts, points or positions.
If you break these rules, we may remove content, cancel points obtained irregularly, suspend or close your account and exclude you from the monthly cause. We will tell you the reason by email.
5. Points, ranking and charity cause
Points. They are earned through actions on the Platform (a published profile, unique visits from your link, invited fans with a published profile and daily visits), through optional purchases of points (section 6) and, when enabled, through other contributions. Current values and limits are published on the “How it works” page. Points have no monetary value, cannot be transferred and cannot be exchanged for money.
Ranking. It is ordered by accumulated points. In case of a tie, whoever reached that score first ranks higher.
Monthly charity cause. Each calendar month (Lima time) we determine which eligible user spent the most time in the #1 position; in case of a tie in time, whoever reached that position first within the month wins. There is no draw and no prize for the user: the outcome is that we direct a donation to an animal shelter in that user's country. Your points and your position do not reset every month.
Amount. We donate 30% of the month's net income, meaning the total charged for approved point purchases in that month minus the payment processor's fee and any refunds or chargebacks. Charges in US dollars are counted in soles using the equivalent of the package purchased. The percentage may increase but will not be reduced for months that are already closed. We do not promise a minimum amount. Buying points is not a personal donation: it does not generate a donation receipt in the buyer's name or tax benefits for them.
Shelter. The donation goes to an animal shelter in the winner's country from our public list of shelters; if there is not one in that country yet, it goes to a backup shelter. We may change the shelters on the list for a justified reason.
For the result to count, the profile must be published, the account must not be suspended and, in the case of minors, parental authorization must be in force.
Transparency. Each month we publish the winner's alias and country, the shelter, the amount donated and the donation receipt. By taking part you authorize the publication of your alias, avatar and country if you win; in the case of a minor, only if their profile is published with the authorization of their parent or guardian. We make the donation within 30 days after the month closes.
We reserve the right to exclude the profiles involved from the calculation if we detect fraud or manipulation of the ranking.
6. Payments and refunds
Signing up and taking part in the Platform is free. Optionally, you can buy points to move up in the ranking. Purchased points count the same as any other points (section 5.1).
Payment methods and currency. Payments are processed by outside companies: Mercado Pago, which charges in Peruvian soles (PEN), and PayPal, which charges in US dollars (USD). Before paying you see in My dashboard the package, the points you receive and the exact amount you will be charged. Each package gives the same number of points with either method.
Currency conversion. If your card or account uses a currency other than the one being charged, your bank or card issuer may convert the amount and apply its own fees and exchange rate. We do not control those charges.
Payment data. We do not see or store your card details or your Mercado Pago or PayPal credentials: you enter them on that company's page, which handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. We send them only what is needed to process the charge (your email, name, the amount and a reference code). Those companies may process your data outside Peru.
Crediting. Points are credited when the payment company confirms the charge, usually within seconds. Some payments are held for review by the provider and may take longer (up to 24 hours or more); meanwhile you are not charged again and you don't need to pay a second time. If a payment is declined, you are not charged and no points are credited.
Refunds. Because points are credited immediately and become part of the ranking, purchases are not refunded once credited, except for a duplicate or unrecognized charge, an error on our part, or whatever applicable law grants you. To request a refund, write to info@theonefan.com within 7 days of the charge, with your alias and the payment receipt.
Returns and chargebacks. If a payment is returned or your bank reverses it (chargeback), we deduct the points from that purchase and that amount stops counting toward the month's income. If you dispute a charge without contacting us first, we may suspend the account while it is sorted out.
Minors. A user aged 13 to 17 can only buy if their parent or guardian has authorized it, within the monthly limit that person set (section 2).
7. Continuity and shutdown
We undertake to keep the Platform and the ranking available for at least 10 years from its launch on October 2, 2026.
If, for reasons beyond our control, the Platform had to close earlier, we will give at least 60 days' notice. The ranking will remain published as a static read-only archive (“Hall of Fame”) and each user will be able to download their profile before the closure.
We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance or technical failures, trying to give advance notice.
8. Intellectual property, privacy and liability
The design, code, name and brand of the Platform belong to DIGITAL MADNESS. The trademarks of artists and agencies belong to their owners.
If you believe content infringes your rights, write to us at info@theonefan.com and we will review it.
We process your personal data in accordance with Peru's Personal Data Protection Law No. 29733 and our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection. To process payments we share the necessary data with Mercado Pago and PayPal (section 6).
The Platform is offered for fans' entertainment. We are not responsible for content published by users, or for failures of third-party services such as social networks, payment providers or ticketing companies, to the extent permitted by law.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to measure visits in aggregate and improve the site. We do not send them your alias, email or payment details, we do not use the data for advertising, and pages with guardian authorization links are not measured. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's tracker blocking.
9. Governing law, complaints and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any dispute will be submitted to the judges and courts of Lima, without prejudice to the rights that the law of your country of residence grants you as a consumer.
You can file claims or complaints in our virtual Complaints Book: theonefan.com/libro-de-reclamaciones.
